Vandalism – pure and simple – but not as we know it.

The MUGA (multi-use-games-area) is a games area – where people might run  (or at least trot). When playing games (or even trotting),  you need a level surface where you are not likely to slip. So the photos below show the park MUGA as I found it today.

Gravel has been scattered widely, the chunks are quite big – 2 cm or more, and feet are quite likely to slip on it if running, twisting etc. Why? But rather more mysterious are the patterns of what looks like epoxy or other resin, clearly sprayed from a can,  and again forming an uneven surface  They are still relatively soft, but may harden soon if not removed. All of this added to the pile of set hardened cement that was found about six months ago in the goal area at one end.

Has anyone seen anything like this? Is it’s purpose entirely mindless, or is it part of an inscrutable (to me) game being played in the area. This simply does not make sense!
