The planting of the Pear Tree orchard took place on 18th January, 2026 by an army of volunteers. Each has a photo of the variety at the base (although I am not sure how waterproof the prints will be!). And some fascinating varieties there are!
Apparently there are still six more mature trees to come. They will hopefully all fruit in a few years, and there will be a bonanza of pears to be picked then! I cannot wait.
