As part of the MUGA (Multi-use-games-area) restoration project, we organised a day of football training for 8-10 year olds from local schools, run by the Brentford FC community sports trust.
After an hour or so, everyone moved to the adjacent grass sports field for a difference experience! And then the rain came as a very heavy shower, forcing us to seek shelter in the adjacent Cricket pavillion kitchen to dry off. With so much water deposited making the surfaces slippery, it was decided to call it a day. Lots of fun was had by all, including the parents, who found out a few things about the park they did not know, despite many of them having lived locally for many years.
We hope to organise another session, but the date has not been set yet.
