We now have details of how the four meadows in the orchard garden will be planted for next year. Each of the meadows now has a mound of soil, which will be mixed shortly with sand and evened out as soon as the rains and rather soggy ground conditions allow!
The meadows will then be planted with a selection of the four bulbs shown below, which should ensure colour in the meadows from March to late summer.

Gladiolis communis ssp. Byzantinus
Narcissus Bulbocodium
Allium sphaerocephalon
And there are of course four raised bed planters for community planting as well! One of these is now planted with a good crop of winter garlic and a second with winter cabbage. There is still lots of space!
