Hops Hops everywhere!

About five or so years back, we noticed a hop plant with its roots on the banks of Coston’s brook and climbing up to the footbridge across the brook in the park. Boy has it spread!

Downstream from the bridge, the banks of the brook are lined with nothing but hop plants. I gather that the male and female are separate plants  (only the females are used to make hopped beer). Can anyone tell if these are males or females or a mixture of the two? If it spreads much more, I can see a new beer being brewed at the local Horsenden farm brewery, to complement their Veripale ales!
