Greenford Birch Wood is one of the smaller green areas northwest of Perivale Park, running alongside the A40 and where most of the drivers there have no idea it exists.
Coston’s Brook is a tributary of the River Brent, both running through Perivale Park. The brook itself seems to arise from multiple sources close by to the park. The one in the photos above seems to come from a culvert which drains the nearby Metropolitan industrial estate. It merges with water from the Greenford lagoons, but I am still not certain whether any single source is identified for the brook. Certainly nowadays it runs with much cleaner water.
