The seeder has visited the park flower meadow, after having done Horsenden meadows and Cayton green park.
We now need some ground soaking rain showers to germinate the seeds. If all goes well, the birds will be very happy in the autumn and winter.
Excellent news. I did see the tractor ploughing on Horsenden Hill this afternoon. About 30 mixed Herring & Lesser Black-backed Gulls enjoying the spills!
There is a wet day forecast Sunday so we may get some rain to start the germination process?
Hopefully we’ll get some decent finch flocks again. Does seem quite late in the season to be doing this though/
