Early August, and the sunflowers are in residence, but the shallow pond is now dry despite recent rains and the yellow grasses are now seeding.
Many of the young trees planted last October by the Trees-for-Cities communal event are brown and have probably not survived, but I estimate perhaps 30-50% might make it through to next year.
