In mid August, the brambles are frutifying and we went out collecting. The result was rather more colourful than we anticipated!
New excavations for ponds have appeared in Perivale meadow, the eastern side of the railway embankment. One of them is both large and deep! I will try to find out why so deep, and whether it will have to be fenced off as a safety precaution!
Meanwhile at the site of an earlier “scrape pond” inside the park proper, it now has water from recent rains and the adjacent meadow is a delight of colour, also no doubt due to those rains.
And parts of the “bee corridor” are still looking good!
