Ice skating anyone?

London now has a mild temperate climate, so the appearance of ice is relatively unusual. Here is the new pond in Perivale Park, nicely full from winter rains, with a thin covering of ice.  Too thin of course for actual ice skating!

Here we have the river Brent where it is joined by Coston’s brook, full of the melt from the recent snows. The weir will be the site of a new bridge across the Brent.

Postscript. Ros has just sent me photos of the new bridge fitted to the Weir.
